Ars Acustica celebrates ART's birthday using Luci Live2
In 1963 the French Fluxus artist, Robert Filliou, declared January 17 to be the 1,000,000th birthday of art which for some decades now has been celebrated worldwide. As in the previous years, in 2009 artists all over the world will organise a networked birthday party for art. This year's celebration was "Safe and Sound". Via ISDN-lines and/or the Internet contributions are collected at two points, in Vienna (ORF) and Stockholm (SR), where they are sent to the two EBU satellite channels Ravel (R) and Verdi (V). Both satellite channels (R and V) offer "ready-to-broadcast" materials along with signature-tunes and broadcast-identifications. Ward Weis of VRT Belgium : "Antwerp and Vienna were connected for 4 hours via LUCI Live2. It has been the first time that we used this possibility of transmission. There was a stable and good connection in best quality with Audio-over-IP. "

Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 and HTC Touch HD
We performed some measurements on these new devices and made some nice Input EQ's, available on the download page. Our MCA3 cable is perfectly suitable for these devices with standard 3.5 mm Jack headset input. The strange USB headset connector found on older HTC models like Touch Cruise is now also supported by the MCA3. For video, the preferred choice is still the Samsung Omnia with it's unsurpassed picture-quality of a video. But for all the other Luci applications all above mentioned new devices are perfectly suitable.!

Luci goes TV
LUCI AV for PDA launched at IBC 2008: another breakthrough in mobile content production Luci releases the audio and video delivery solution, LUCI AV, at the International Broadcast Convention (IBC) 2008 in Amsterdam this week. The PDA-based application will be demonstrated at the LUCI booth (7.k36) on the recently released Samsung Omnia - one of the first “superphones”. LUCI AV enables reporters to shoot video and record audio in studio quality on their mobile device, anytime, anywhere. Using the intuitive split screen interface, the video and audio from a recorded clip can be simultaneously and non-destructively edited, and the clip stored in a cliplist. Lists containing both edited or non-edited clips can then be uploaded to websites via FTP, or emailed to TV studios.

New Samsung Omnia PDA
This new Windows Mobile device with 5 MPixel camera has been tested thoroughly by us and will be shown at the IBC with Luci AV for the first time.

LUCI® available on USB drive or SD card
Now you can order all Luci products pre-installed on USB drive (for PC versions) or SD card. The software does not have to be installed on every device, PC or PDA, anymore, it can run from the drive or card and is also registered to it. So, you can use any PC or PDA to run this Luci license.

With the newly released free open-source Wordpress plugin called Lucipress you can now post from within Luci, with one touch of a button, to the worlds most popular blogging platform Wordpress.
